Sap Removal
Tree sap (also known as tree resin) is an amber-coloured, thick, tacky, and gooey liquid. As a tree disperses its sap, it often drips out from the tree, leaving its liquid on objects (including vehicles) in the surrounding area. If sap is detected on a vehicle’s surface, it is important for it to be removed promptly to avoid etching or discolouration, especially to the vehicle’s paint clear coat.
To remove tree sap and other organic resins, from a vehicle’s exterior surfaces, use SAP REMOVER. Formulated to penetrate, lift, and dissolve the sap, SAP REMOVER is an effective, quick, and safe method that eliminates scratching or scuffing.
The time to remove tree sap is dependent on both the vehicle’s exterior surface areas and the intensity and amount of tree sap. Once removal is complete, the areas of application will be clean, smooth, and free from tree sap.

STEP 1: PREPARE THE AREAS OF APPLICATION
Complete an exterior wash using a vehicle wash soap, and dry the vehicle.STEP 2: APPLY AND AGITATE THE AREAS OF APPLICATION
Apply SAP REMOVER to a clean microfiber towel. Place the microfiber cloth onto the areas containing sap and agitate. Allow the microfiber cloth to dwell on the areas of application for at least 30 seconds. Reagitate the areas containing sap until the sap is removed. Ensure to resoak with SAP REMOVER and flip the microfiber cloth frequently while applying and agitating the areas containing sap.STEP 3: REVIEW YOUR WORK
Review your work. For stubborn particles remaining, retreat areas, repeating step 2. Touch up areas, where streaking may have occurred, with PARADE.Tips
- Using the same area of the microfiber cloth repeatedly may result in smearing of the sap as opposed to lifting it off of the surface. Constantly move areas on the cloth to ensure a clean surface is used to remove sap.
- Razor blades and scrub brushes are aggressive on the vehicle’s finishes and will result in damaging the areas containing sap.
- If sap is detected on a vehicle’s painted surface, it is important for it to be removed promptly with SAP REMOVER to avoid etching or discolouration to the paint’s clear coat.
- Be sure to carefully read and follow all product instructions and precautions, on the product labels.
